Yeah, I think in general, as a rule, the manga are better. I have to try and get the Claymore manga... I've seen the Berserk manga though, and yeah, it's a shit ton better. Plus, the animes are always so short compared to the whole manga storyline.

I also remember having trouble on that boss. Use a quick save and tick the switches on the big gun. The big gun will fire and cause alot of damage. I forgot how to quicksave but if I recall it was F5 or something. Also, nothing seems to happen after you beat it.

After you beat the boss, activate the laser again but make sure you're not standing in front of it and it'll blow a hole in the wall you can escape from.
