We haven't seen this kind of death penalty in a while. To be eaten alive by the beasts is a really cruel punishment, right? In this museum you can also get a first-hands experience of this.
However, if one were to use real animals, the subject would certainly die, that is why instead elaborate robotic replicas are used. Even if they are just replicas - to be eaten by something that is indistinguishable from the real thing must be a shocking experience.
Today, some crocodiles that are big enough to eat a human whole are being presented among them.
All right, the one to experience this punishment is Akiyama-san. She was being released into an area with lots of these robotic crocodiles. Being chased by these life-like replicas, she was really trying to escape them, but ultimately, one of them catched her. Little by little she is being devoured, what an undescribable fear she must experience...
This crocodile actually has a stomach that is big enough to hold a whole human and in some minutes Akiyama-san will be completely devoured.

yuck. nothing agains english, but dubbed anime just sounds too gay.

I prefer the manga. Way more body horror.

I feel like I'd have preferred the Manga too. I had quite a different view on it than the OP and I found the story boring and trite. Rocky felt to me more annoying than inspiring. Being utterly useless for 95% of the series and hardly ever entertaining in his own right. Whenever the camera turned to him about how he feels for Claire, the story telling took a dead halt as he spouted his redundant emotional cries. Had the story telling been done well enough, we wouldn't need anyone to tell us to be sad for Claire or to root for her humanity. We were already doing that, someone screaming it every minute or two never helped deepen the experience.

I am not a hard core anime person so dubbed shows do not bother me. Yeah, they screw up stuff in the show but overall the voice overs were great. Considering I watched it to see women get chopped to pieces, It was a treat for it to have a good story line and decent acting. All I can say is that while it was fun to see girls get chopped up, I felt bad for them at the same time.

Glad you saw the claymore thread I posted awhile back, it's just too bad it doesn't seem more common on this board. As for the whole dubbed verse subbed, I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore anime fan, but I still prefer subbed, because I think the Japanese voice actors just seem to fit their characters more. Then again, I personally just like the way other languages sound when I don't understand them

That sucks. And I mean, I agree with most that the manga are usually better than the anime, for many reasons. However, I do really enjoy seeing girls getting killed in motion... which is why I would absolutely go batshit insane if Kisirian or Juan Gotoh, etc had animes, especially Kisirian.

well what sucks is that they (anime creators) freaking know we are here and make gore/guro but not enough.
